The Demon House

The Demon House recently aired on the Travel Channel. It is a documentary about a home in Gary, Indiana. It was occupied by an African-American family. They had many horrific events, a lot of them involving the children. There are social workers, a priest, and others who witnessed this activity.

So, Zak Bagans (ZB) from Ghost Adventures bought the house sight unseen. My father had a saying, "some people have more money than sense." He and a crew went to Gary to investigate. First he had to evict squatters. Then he tried to interview the family. They wanted nothing to do to with it. Of course they had also been offered big money for movie rights from a Hollywood producer. The producer even called and threatened ZB to not make the documentary or he would get sued. A brother of the family was willing to talk, and afterwards they refused to let him back in the house, claiming something was attached to ZB, and it might be attached to him. So there was real fear there. Some have called it a hoax. After watching this, it's not a hoax. There are evils out there that we as humans have no clue about. They have existed for centuries. For there to be good, there must be evil. As Father Mike from Gary, IN said, "the unclean."

This changed ZB's life. He found out the hard way there are things you shouldn't mess with. Some may feel he had it coming. He has been known to mistreat his "friends." Like fellow crew members Jay Wasley and Aaron Goodwin. During one scene in the house ZB is overcome with anger. He pushes Jay around, telling him to get the F**k out. Jay strikes me as a gentle soul. He takes it. Later in the show, when one of the cameramen working for ZB gets overcome with the same sort of anger/possession, it is comical to see the fear ZB shows, I mean when this cameraman's coming at ZB, he's retreating back to Jay and Billy Tolley. If he could only see that he has been that same to to people who care about him. Those same people he's retreating to for cover. He can be an ass. I've seen it many times on Ghost Adventures. He can be mean.

Well, now he is marked. I'm just going to say that he gets himself locked into the house with no exit. First he hears a guttural goat sound from the demon. Then he said he sees a black cloud come out of the wall. Soon his eyes begin hurting. He later is diagnosed with an eye affliction which causes him to see double. He has to wear prism glasses 24/7. That is the mark of the beast. He will carry that till the day that he dies. And when he does, his faith better be strong or he will be the demon's bitch for eternity.

Watch this documentary. If you don't believe in the supernatural or demons, watch. This is not a movie. This is real with no special effects. Watch innocent people get over come with attachments that almost cause their deaths. One by suicide, and another who spend just a few hours in the Demon House, and a day later all his organs begin shutting down. And if you're not a big ZB fan, watch to see this man get marked for eternity. I just hope he realizes that good people and friends are far and few between, and he begins treating them with respect. I hope he at least learned a lesson from this. If not, he will be the Devils bitch. BTW, Ghost Adventures new season begins this Saturday on the Travel Channel 02/23/19. Get a look at those glasses!!!!

Paranormal Lockdown

    OK, Nick Groff is back on TV. His new show, Paranormal Lockdown, (Destination America, Fridays @ 10pm), features Nick and someone I haven't seen for years, Katrina Weidman. Some may know her from her time as an investigator for PRS, (Paranormal Research Society), featuring Ryan Buell and others from Penn State.

    The concept is 72 hours at one location. With some 2 hour naps thrown in. Not a lot different from Ghost Adventures, in which GA crew spends the night. I like Nick. Many times I have felt sorry for him. I'm not sure if GA cost Nick his marriage, but I do know it caused him grief. Nick is a sensitive. He seems to take the brunt of the repercussions from hunting ghosts. Now I'm confused. I thought he quit GA because of this. Now I'm inclined to believe it may have more to do with a problem with Zak Bagans. I also believe he's become "addicted" to the hunt. He's putting himself in the exact same conditions he did on GA. On one of the last GA episodes he appeared in, he said something like, "One day one of us is going to snap." Something snapped. Not sure what.

    The premise that he espoused for this show is they are there to study residual energy. You know, the idea that brutal and horrifying events become ingrained into the wood and structure of haunted locales. I will say this...you're gonna get both. You may be there for residual energy, but if there are spirits, aren't they going to come through too? I'm not sold on the idea. How do you tell the difference? I guess that's the point. He's trying to found a method to find out.

    I did a binge watch of the first 6 episodes last night. I'm going to be honest. I really didn't like it that much. I think Nick has a long way to go as a host. Here's what really amazed me. As they are doing EVP's Nick asks a question, then keeps rambling on with no space for a spirit to ANSWER. Even after Nick asks a question, Katrina chimes right in and asks another question, again with no chance for a spirit to speak. I thought you ask ONE question, then wait. If using a digital recorder, you have no idea until playback if you have gotten a response. You must give the spirits a hole to speak in. For all the experience these 2 have, isn't that kind of EVP rule number one? Wow.

    Speaking of EVP's, he has a piece of equipment called a GeoBox. First time I've ever seen one. It sounds like it is going through the radio spectrum, like a spirit box, only it is scanning much slower. Because at times I could HEAR radio chatter. It does seem to work. I think. At least when using this, they give a pause to let someone or something to answer. That's a good thing.

    Last night was the Season Finale. I have Dish Network, and for a time did not have Destination America. Hence the binge watch. I think this show premiered March 11. I give this show 3 ghosts out of 5. I do like both Nick & Katrina. LOSE THE FLASHLIGHTS! USE A CAMERA! I hate flashlights with ghost hunting. This is not ground-breaking TV. It's a spin-off of GA. Slightly different. WITH FLASHLIGHTS! And Nick is putting himself back in the line of fire. Like I said, he's addicted.

    Destination America seems to be going all in on the paranormal side. There is another show premiering next Friday called, "Paranormal Brothers." There have become so many paranormal shows on TV that I don't bother to review most. Zak and Aaron also have a spin-off called, "Deadly Possessions." I might be reviewing it next. I've only seen the first episode. That's of course on the Travel Channel.

    As for me, I've been dealing with an attachment. Still. I have been so sick with stomach problems. I just found out yesterday that I have had Silent GERD. Also have Barrett's Esophagus. This is a precursor of cancer of the esophagus. That's because I didn't know acid was coming up. Nice. I've reached out to priests and others for help. No one believes me. I am going to write more on this next. It has been pure fucking hell the last 6 months. Shit flying off shelves, loud knocks and bangs, and someone walking up and down my hallway every night. Not to mention the physical toll. Being sick all the time sucks. I have my own theories I have developed, and will be sharing them with you soon. It is from what I have gone through, and it will turn your belief's upside-down. Enough! I'm gonna go lay down. Every time I write this blog, I get sicker. Exorcism Live!

    Well, on Halloween Eve Destination America came up with a live event, featuring TWC, (Tennessee Wraith Chasers), along with a few faces not seen on TV for a while. While the promos made it look as though someone who was possessed was getting a exorcism, that was not the case. It was a good old house cleansing.

    I've written about TWC before, who have the show, "Ghost Asylum," on the same channel. I like these down to earth country boys, and they get evidence. Here's just a few gripes I hope they take to heart. Everyone person should have a digital recorder running, and a hand-held camera/view finder. This way you have everything you need, and you won't be in an attic without the gear you need. The view finder is so you can see...lose the damn penlights. Your eyes will adjust, and when you flash a light, you're gonna miss something. While you do soooo much better than "Ghost Hunters," who from the outside of where they are investigating, it looks like burglars casing a joint. They could give LESSONS to criminals on how to flit a flashlight around. Don't become them! You guys get evidence, and you and Ghost Adventures crew are it.

    OK, now the show. It took place in the famous house in St. Louis that was the catalyst for the movie, The Exorcist. Guess what Travel Channel was showing at the same time this was airing? That's right, the GA (Ghost Adventures) crew investigating the same house in 2012. That's what sets the GA crew apart. They are prepared, and they get good evidence. Plus the use of Kinect technology is fantastic. I found myself switching between shows. TWC went in and did a live hunt. They did a good job for a live show, but like I said, they were at times unprepared. I also liked the access to the live feeds from the X-Cameras they had set up. A few viewers saw orbs and other anomalies. Way to go! The tweeting idea was good to, but some claimed to be frightened...maybe they were, but I wasn't.

    Then psychic Chip Coffey did a seance with his 3 person crew. I first saw Chip on "Paranormal State," one of the first ghost hunting shows that used to air on A & E. Penn State students. Google them. Plus, Chip had a show on the same network where he nurtured young people with psychic abilities. Cannot remember the name. The seance went along, but when an evil spirit came through, Chip shut it down. Sad. Things could have been so much more interesting. I understand the fear of possession, but come on. Should have had volunteers standing by to take the place of those in fear. This was a big moment missed. Fear is what those demons feed on. Live TV, what a moment it could and should have been. If you need a volunteer Chip, I'd be happy to donate my time. How can we learn more when fear over-rides fact finding?  Big Miss!

    It ended with Chip and a priest cleansing the house. I was let down. I guess they were performing an exorcism on the house, but I thought that was called a "cleansing." Not an exorcism. Come on now. Did it work? Who knows? Who can say? Who can prove it? Exorcisms are done on people!

    Don't let me forget the appearance of Nick Groff, former Ghost Adventures alum. Nice beard Nick! He talked of his experience when they investigated the famed house. Nick is a sensitive. I believe him. Ghost hunting cost him a lot, and I'm glad to see he's out of the actual business of hunting. Hope you are well!

    In closing, TWC did a fine job. I'd lose the host...they should have hosted. The seance stopped when it was just getting interesting. The cleansing...a big let-down. I'm sure if you  missed it, there will be reruns of it into perpetuity. I looked and it's not on tonight. I'd definitely show it on Halloween. Guess that's why I write a blog and don't run a network. I give it 3 out of 5 ghosts.

Ghost Asylum New Season/Complaints

    Ok. I like TWC, (Tennessee Wraith Chasers). The are one of the few groups on TV that get actual evidence. The show, (Ghost Asylum, Destination America 9pm Eastern) features some Good Ol' Boys from Tennessee. They have been given permission to hunt in some of the most haunted places in America. They take it seriously. But give me a break.
    They claim they are helping spirits. They build "traps" to catch them, but always fail. Here's my beef...
    Last night on the season premiere, they came across as if they are doing a public service or helping these spirits. BS. I have yet to see ANY hunters bring in a priest or medium or anyone to move these spirits along. The Ghost Adventures crew has brought in a priest, but it was because an owner was changing in front of their eyes. It should be common practice before they leave. I don't know if religion even has an affect, but it does seem that if the spirits were God fearing here on Earth, they are God fearing after death. I'll bet my last dollar they cause more harm than any good they do after they're gone. Ask the owners after a group of hunters come through. After they leave, things are usually more active.
    Look, how would you like it if someone came into your home with cameras, lights, and instruments that beep? All these groups forget these where human beings. People died in these places. How about before you leave to tell these spirits you are sorry for barging in and asking stupid questions? How about saying, "You have died. If you see a light, go into it." Bring in a priest. Something! As for trapping, even if they DID manage to capture one, they take it back to Tennessee and set it free? Huh? I really doubt things work that way. I do not believe anything earthly thing can hold spirits. They walk through walls. Through concrete. I don't know if spirits use portals, but with my problems I do believe there are doors that can be opened. I'm trying to close a door I've opened.
    I also believe there are bad spirits. I don't know if some ever physically walked the Earth. I do know that without evil, how would we know what good is? I played with fire and am still scorched. I am not the same person. It takes all my will to write this blog because something does not want me to. I'm crying out for help. I have gone over my pay grade. I have messed with something, and I feel one day it will kill me. At my own hand. That's how dark my home has become. I apologize every day. What is haunting me is bad, bad, bad.

    All I ask is you hunters treat these spirits like YOU would like to be treated. Ask if you can come in. Apologize when you leave. Tell them that you are sad they are stuck, and ask them to look for the warm light. Most spirits are good, but there are a few bad apples. Just like in real life. Maybe some can never go into the light. But at least try to move them on. I can't say if the TWC squad does this, because it's never shown. I may be missing something. You guys are good people. Treat these spirits the same. Be polite. Ask for permission.
    Ever notice how these orbs they capture have movements that resemble UFO sightings? Gravity does not affect them. Electromagnetic energy I believe is what powers UFO's. And that's what these orbs are. Call me crazy. I don't care. I've been shown some insights, or I have been shown lies. I have gone into trances and I see things. Yep, I'm crazy. I get this monkey off my back, and I'm going to hopefully use my experience to help others who are tormented. Because I AM tormented. I am confused, yet clear. I am sad, yet strangely happy. I feel hate, yet feel love for those I hate. I do hope to get my life back. It just hasn't happened yet. Maybe I never will.

    I really like you guys in TWC. You are good folks. But after you leave, I could probably go into those places and have an even more extreme experience. Don't come across that you are helping, because we all know that is no way to tell. Think about it. You sweep in like a hurricane with all these instruments and blinking lights. All I ask is when you leave, remind the spirits about the light and apologize for invading their homes. Hell, I don't know if there is a light. But in my dreams I see them. Only then you can say you MAY have done some good. Otherwise, you are just home invaders. Just my humble opinion.

I'm Sorry/I'm Haunted

Please accept my apologies for the lack of regular posting, and the words I wrote. They were not mine. I thought I had won. I thought I had my bases covered. I thought my troubles were a thing of the past. I thought I was back to being, "me."

I did what the "experts" said. I put black salt around my property, and in doorways and any other forms of egress. I cleansed with sage. I hung religious paraphernalia. I asked politely for them, or IT to leave. Then I screamed aloud for them to leave. That's when I last posted, I think. I thought it was over.

Things were calm. The cold breezes had stopped. The sounds of someone walking up my hallway every night stopped. The nightmares of slaughter and death, along with the actual smells, stopped. The dream of being held down in my bed as it was bursting into flames stopped. The black shadow that was always just out of my sight was no more. My mood lightened. I began posting again, and at the time thought these were my thoughts. They weren't.

You see, I think I was possessed, in a way that I could not see or understand. In my dreams everything was literally black & white. Mostly black, with white around the edges. Water looked black. Faces were black, with red eyes sunken back in the head. Houses were painted black. My clothes were black. I'd wake up gasping for air, because in the dreams the air was heavy and black. It finally clicked that all was not well for Paranormal TV. I got complacent. I got cocky, offering to help others, because I thought I had beat these things, and it felt good. Stupid is as stupid does.

To review, I want to clarify some things. First, I had never, ever been suicidal. I had never seen a shrink. In a moment I can only describe as sleep walking, I hauled a 2-person recliner out to the garage. I cranked a boom box with Black Sabbath's first album. I started the truck, and sat down. My wonderful caring neighbor heard the music, and could hear the truck running, with the garage door down. He literally saved my life. I have no memory of any of it.

Because it looked like a suicide attempt, the authorities had no choice to put my on an involuntary mental hold. For 2 weeks. That's how I lost my job. You can't not show up for 2 weeks and expect a parade. Now, in the psych unit, I'm trying to explain to a shrink that looked at me like I was a loon that, #1) I don't remember doing any of it, and #2) it was a spirit. Ha-ha! That went over like a Lead Zeppelin. It took me a few days to realize that if I don't start playing the game with these folks, I would be there a very, long time. By playing the game, I mean lying. If I'd stuck to the truth, I'd still be there. This was turning into more than cold breezes and nightmares. It was becoming part of my life, and I didn't like it.

I'm still struggling, but I have been voraciously been reading books on the paranormal. I have been cleansing and spreading salt, because I haven't found any other way to proceed. It seems a little better, but I can't trust it or myself. I thought it was gone before, and I was totally ignorant to what was going on. I have been doing recordings to try and found out who or what this is. I will be posting MP3's of some of my findings. This sucker is just that...sucking the life out of me. After all this, I'm thinking of starting a paranormal group. I am getting on-the-job training. And I'm needing work. Who wants to hire someone who lost their job because of being in an institution? No one. Next week, if all improves, I'll start posting about Paranormal TV again. Though there aren't a lot of quality shows right now on the subject, I do truly hope the words I post next will be all mine, and mine alone.

Dead Files Return, GA Reruns, Demon Installment

The Dead Files returned last week with new episodes. While a fan, I haven't been as excited to watch. Why? Not sure. I like both the stars. I'm not sure how long they were showing reruns, but maybe it was a bit too long. I've written about the show before, and really not much has changed. I'd still like GA and Dead Files to collaborate, to help after the GA crew blows in, Amy could tell the owners what to do about the increased activity. Just saying. The Dead Files airs on Sat. at 10pm on Travel Channel.

Watching the Extra-Pulses shows and watching Zak do interviews can at times be painful. Although he has gotten better, he still has a lot to learn. He needs to learn to stand and shake the hands of his guests. I'm glad they are finally trying to help with the turmoil they cause. But claiming to care about someone's well-being, then throwing them to the lions for the show, (Tony, the guest who was left with a welt after going back to his former home), comes to mind. Oh well. I think he is trying hard. I think they are beginning to understand they can do damage with their investigations. Airs Sat. at 9 pm on Travel Channel.

I have been asked how my haunting made me lose my job. Okay. My neighbor found me in my garage with the truck running, and the doors closed. He thought it odd to hear my truck. If he hadn't, I wouldn't be here. I had taken a 2-person recliner to the garage. I had headphones on listening to "Yer Blues" by the Beatles. I was unconscious. I have no recollection of dragging the recliner. (I would have had to drag it). No memory of any of it. But, the police and shrinks do. I was on an involuntary hold for 2-weeks. Thus, I lost my job. They put me on anti-psychotics because of what happened. Talk about brain killers. The more I talked about the ghosts, the more medicine they gave me. I learned fairly quickly that I'd better stop the ghost talk. If I hadn't, I'm sure I'd still be there....More to come....

Ghost Asylum/Updates/GA Update

There is a show running new episodes called, "Ghost Asylum." It features the Tennessee Wraith Chasers, a group of Southern boys who do exactly that. Chase Wraiths. This show is coming the closest to Ghost Adventures as any show has in the past. They have the equipment. They do get evidence. And they do something that I had only come to expect from the "Ghost Hunters" TV show. They try to make traps to catch ghosts. Similar to when the Ghost Hunters used a Geiger Counter.

I'll say this: They get some great locations. Old asylums, mental hospitals, etc. Last Sunday the episode I watched was OK. They got some evidence. And from what I saw, they missed some too. There was a scene where the camera was pointing down the hallway. There is a mist, and it was caught on film. They're so focused on the mist, they missed an orb that shot right at the camera. This is the first show on this subject that got good evidence similar to the Ghost Adventures Crew. I'll give it 3 out of 5 Wraiths. Not too bad, likable cast. It airs Sunday nights on Destination America, at 10pm Eastern.

Ghost Adventures has been doing "Aftershocks." Going back and interviewing past guests from past locations. Zak said something that made me chuckle. He was talking about why people call them. He said that do they want us to find out who is doing the haunting, or do they want us to get rid of them. GA has never done anything to "get rid of ghosts." If anything, they have made things worse. Most of the time! Having been through an attachment, and having my home over-run, I've learned a lot. Spirits only react to religion if they themselves "believed" in life. Most spirits were once human-beings, and like to be treated as such. Do you barge in to someone's home, and not ask to enter? Do you demand things from the homeowners? Since I have done my home, I've done 2 others. Both had been "Hunted." The owners report no activity now. That is why, to anyone who needs my help, I over it free of charge. I almost lost everything. I know what it is like to own your home, yet not feel comfortable. I learned a lot of secrets. If you have been the victim of a hunt that made things worse, contact me through the comment section. Ghosts in My House

There is a new show on Destination America on Sunday nights called, "Ghosts in My House." It airs at 9:00 Eastern.

It features a crew of 2 investigators going in the house to look for evidence. It also features Nadine Mercey, a psychic. Matt and Michelle McKay are the crew. Let's take a look...

Producers find haunted houses. First, the crew goes in and does an investigation using the standard tools. Mel Meter, recorders, infra-red cameras. Now, this is not really featured. Just a short 3 minute burst. Now, even though they stay the night, either they don't get evidence like the best, Ghost Adventures crew, or a lot is not shown. I don't know, but that is really not focused on. It seems they just want to "make sure" it's haunted.

Then Michelle goes to the local library, and does research on the property. The Nadine comes in for a walk-through. It seems the show is centered around her. She seems to be the real deal. She is likable, well-spoken, and I hope...sincere.

It's OK. Its better than some of the paranormal shows that I can't even watch. They do 2 houses per episode, so there's the time problem. A little more evidence, (If they get it), would be nice. Check it out tonight. I give it 3 out of 5 ghosts.

Oops, Big Mistake Part II

I've been asked about the earlier post, when I "opened" a door. That was the first mistake. I made many more, as I don't believe I was thinking right. I changed...this is what I have been told. I was a happy go-lucky kind of guy, never too serious. I became the anti-thesis of that. Short-tempered, easily swayed. Miserable human-being.

It started slowly. First, I found myself in places I didn't remember going to, and why I was there. Like in the garage. It was like a trance, and then I come out of it. I'd look around, and wonder why I came out here. The garage became the portal, I believe. I believe this is where, "the door opened." To lose time...and your mind like that scared me. I mean, could I become a killer? Could I be manipulated into doing something? I'm not sure. I believe if you are already a sociopath, it wouldn't be a stretch. I feel bad about killing bugs. So, I think it just depends.

Next, things started flying off shelves, and even shelves in my closets. BANG! I'm mean, this wasn't gravity, this was throwing things with force. It would scare me many times. It would happen during the day or night. And I jumped. It started changing my mood. I was one pissed-off hombre. This is not me. But when you're in the middle, I guess it is me.

Next came touching. Scratching. Pushing. Breathing in my ear. All the scratches came in a series of 3. 3 lines. I guess this is an insult to the Holy Trinity. That told me this was not good spirit, this was bad. Demon...Zozo...I don't know. Mean. I heard growls. Wow.

In the meantime, my life was suffering. Lost my job because my alarm would be turned off, even though I know I set it. That wasn't the whole reason I was fired. My boss said that I had changed. I was snappy. I was mad all the time. And why or what I was mad at, I don't know. Bills I had in a pile to pay would disappear. So, I've had to pay late fees, etc., and I've never paid late in my life.

I have no friends now. They all left me hanging, I guess I scared them. I'd try to explain, but how do explain something you can't see? There are no words.

I bought sage, and black salt. I went around smudging the whole place. I said you are not welcome anymore. I got the Ouija board out, and by smashing my hand down on the board, I said with this I do CLOSE this door.

So far so good. I am still remembering things about my struggles. I am finding the things that were lost in the weirdest places; places I know I would never put important items. You know, I didn't leave the house for 2 months. I'm getting out. Getting sunshine. I'm sure I'm missing some points, and when I remember more, I will write. Until then, thank you for your interest.

Ghost Adventures/Dead Files Special???

Well, I guess it's official. Nick Groff has left the GA crew. I also heard that many fans were angry, with some blaming Zak. There is even a website called, "Zak Bagans is a douchebag." Now, I have expected this for quite some time, and I think it really is no one's fault. Let me explain...

Nick is sensitive. He is usually the first one to be affected by spirits. It seems he is usually getting the worst of it. Plus, he has a family, and had been bringing spirits home with him. Nothing like bringing your work home to kill a relationship. I think he had enough. I am happy for him. I wish you nothing but the best, Nick.

Now, the last two GA shows have been overseas, and featured Nick. If I'm not mistaken, I've seen only one episode without Nick. I liked the show I saw. It is good to use Billy and Jay. And of course, fan favorite Aaron is still being Aaron. And that's good. Here's an idea...

At least do a GA/Dead Files special. Have Steve do the research. Have Amy do a walk through before the GA crew. Now it gets tricky. Should GA crew and Dead Files crew meet before the lock down? At the very least, have Steve fill the boys in on what he knows about the history. And maybe Amy could also be in the lock down. It seems like a good fit, at least for a special. Are you listening Producer's? The site chosen shouldn't be huge. Maybe a large family dwelling. Think about it.

Since opening the door at my last post, my luck and fortunes have disappeared. I think I have finally closed the door and have shaken who or whatever was attached. I mean, I got fired, lost my house, lost almost everything. My house was alive, and I'm glad actually to be gone from it. Be careful what you ask for...you just may get it. This shit is real, Just ask Nick.

Oops, Big Mistake

In my zeal to know more about the paranormal, I made a big mistake. I had a clean house; I mean there was nothing. After moving my brother on who died in this house, it has been normal. Nothing.

At 3am two nights ago I opened my door wide. I invited any and all spirits into my home. And after last night, I know they came.

First came the creaking down my hallway. My floor squeaks when humans walk on it. Loudly. Last night at 2:21am I was awakened by the sound of someone walking down the hall. For 2 full minutes I laid in bed and heard someone walking up and down the hall. I yelled out, "Who's there?" No answer. But the creaking stopped, and a chill came over me. The hairs were standing up on my legs even. I have never felt anything this strong.

I dozed off, and at 3:01am, I awake to my bed shaking. Not too hard...but enough to get my attention. Once again the hairs were standing. I looked towards the foot of the bed. There was a black, gaseous human-like form standing there. It was slowly moving...like the fog on a lake on a cold morning. Except it was black. I could see it well because of the white wall behind it. I asked, Who are you?" No reply. But slowly the leg and head sections began moving towards the center of itself. When it was about the size of a basketball, it suddenly lit up into a light the size of a tennis ball. From black to brilliant. It then shot off towards the window and disappeared.

I laid there, making sure I was awake. Because I thought it was a dream. I pinched myself...and it hurt. I was awake, and what I saw was real.  Naturally, I had nothing to capture this event running. I will never make that mistake again. I understand that 3am is the anti-hour. This is supposedly when the dark spirits become active. Well, I saw something dark. And it made me feel...angry. I don't know why. I was really pissed off, but why? Then a feeling of nausea overcame me. I got out of bed and went outside. I started to feel better. After 5 minutes I went back in. There was a sticky dark humid feel in the air. The air even seemed too heavy to breathe. I began gasping for air, like someone was holding my nose closed and were holding a hand over my mouth. It was a choking, sick feeling. Again nausea. Again outside.

I came in, and a gust of cold air whisked by. Like the air you feel when someone brushes by you in the mall, except it was cold. I mean like 30 degrees colder than the air in the house. By now, I knew I wouldn't sleep. I wandered around aimlessly, like I was looking for something, but I couldn't recall what it was.

I think I've made a big mistake. I think I've opened something that I don't know how to close. I think I might be in trouble. This was the first full night after the opening. If my house was a business having a grand opening, it was a huge success. But I don't feel successful. I feel afraid.

Dead Files Season Premiere/ My Story

I guess it's just a coincidence that the season premiere of "Dead Files" comes when I have resumed writing to this blog. Last weekend I watched "Dead Files Revisited," where they look back on a couple of old cases. It has been awhile since I have truly watched the show. Say what you want, but if someone can prove to me an ex-homicide detective with the NYPD is willing to damage his credibility, I'll go along the whole show is fake. But I don't think so. Steve comes across as an ex-cop, meaning he deals with facts and other tangible evidence. He leaves the spirit to Amy. Watch Saturday at 10pm est.

So, this weekend it's the premiere of "Dead Files," and the season finale of  "Ghost Adventures." I'm saddened because I think the crew as we know them is about to call it a day. I've written about what Nick said. Who's gonna be the first one to crack sums it up. I believe it's you, Nick. I know you are a sensitive, and I know you have been tormented. For that I am sorry. I guess it's what you signed up for, but when it all started out, it was an innocent endeavor. Put what you've seen in real life into video and audio evidence. I also feel you guys have maybe made some mistakes. Like demanding spirits to talk or make a noise. How would you like it if someone came into your house uninvited, and started asking you to act like a trained seal? Probably wouldn't go too well. I still believe a little bit of respect needs to be shown from the get-go. Just my humble opinion. The season-finale of "Ghost Adventures is at 9pm est Saturday on the Travel Channel. Hope there's a next season!?

I've gotten some questions about where I'm coming from. When I was a young child I had an invisible friend named "Casey." Now, I had a cousin who died young named Casey. I am now convinced it WAS mt dead cousin. Next was when I was about 21. I was living in the middle of nowhere in Nevada, Crescent Valley to be exact. I was living in a trailer that the previous owner had blown here brains out. At times it was 90 degrees, but one could always count on an cool breeze from the poor lady. At night it sounded like she was pacing the hall. Just as she did in life I'm sure. I had a brother pass from Alzheimer's. I cared for him for 6 years. He used to get up in the night and pace around his room. The day after he died, that night lying in bed I heard him walking, just like before. The hair on my skin stood up erect. There was energy in the air. I could FEEL him. I ignored it for a few weeks. I had a backpacking frame of his in the closet. The only item of his still in the house. I heard a large crash! It came from the closet. I open it, and there is the backpacking frame on the floor. It had been up on the shelf, leaning AWAY from the doors. There is not way this fell off. I scared me to the point of anger. I screamed. "Ted, if you see a white light go into it." I was also cursing. That night, all was quiet.

Ghost Adventures/The Haunting of...

Alright, I guess I'd better update this thing, as I have been getting comments on posts that are over a year old.

First to the person who commented on "The Dead Files." Look, you say that Steve gives Amy all the answers, and that "NOONE" believes this crap. If you watched the beginning of the show, you'll hear both say they never speak until the very end. Now, I can understand that they could be lying to us, and they could be meeting before during and after. Steve is an ex-homicide detective who DOES NOT believe in any of this. I take him at his word. So, is your premise that Steve is making these spirits and things up and telling Amy is ludicrous. But even if this is the biggest conspiracy in the history of TV, it is a TV show. It is meant to entertain. If you don't believe, don't watch. Pretty simple. Some folks are more "open" than others. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist because YOU can't see or feel it.

I have a feeling that "Ghost Adventures" may be winding down. If you follow, the best ghost hunting crew on TV has been having members attacked, followed home, and generally caused pain and heartache. In the last new episode, #152 "Overland Hotel and Saloon." Nick was particularly affected. This isn't the first time for him. I've been feeling for a couple years he's about reached his limit. I think he is very open, thus spirit can affect him in many ways, including entering him, and going home with him. In the end he says, "We're skating in thin ice here man, where this is super dangerous what we're doing. What is the breaking point, where one of us just emotionally snaps?" Very telling indeed. In this episode Zak was knocked down by spirit. These guys go into some of the most haunted locations in America and beyond. Nick looks worn and haggard. I'm afraid the Ghost Adventures we've come to love and respect may be coming to an end.

There are new episodes of Kim Russo's show on Lifetime called, "The Haunting of..." Just finished watching Vince Neil of Motley Crue. Learned things I never knew. That he had a daughter he lost to cancer 20 years ago, who died very young. And he was driving and a drummer from another band was killed. Lots of pain and heartache. And he spoke of his daughter after she has passes coming for 3 nights to play with him. And on the third night says, "Daddy, Jesus says I have to go to school, and I can't come see you again until I finish. OK, I'm gonna say it. I cried. Hard. Heartbreaking. Sad. I don't know if Kim is the real deal, but I think she convinced Vince. I'd suggest watching this episode. Hell, maybe the season. It's off to one hell of a start. Airs Saturday nights on Lifetime at 10 est.

New Series American Haunting/ Ghost Adventures Returns/Ghost Mine Returns

Sorry it's been so long, but this has been one long, crappy summer as far as Paranormal TV goes. Why write about shows that I couldn't stand to watch all the way through? My Haunted House on Bio turned into a, " go back in time," and try to recreate from the victims memory something that may have happened years ago. I'm sorry, but it's boring. I'm really tired of these shows that go back in time and do re-enactments. It's worse than reality TV, it's reality TV that's been recreated by writers. Kind of like warmed over baked beans, they tasted pretty good the first day, but reheating them isn't very satisfying. Plus, they start to give you gas. I started writing this blog because of shows that hunt ghosts. In real time. Enough said.

American Haunting, the latest from A & E is OK. They took real families, having real paranormal activity in the present. They set up cameras, and get evidence. They families are suffering in real-time. The families call in professional ghost hunters, demon killers, and the like. They showed 3 episodes on one night, July 27th, and I haven't heard from them since. Look, it's pretty good. Maybe they could call in real professionals from other shows in the future. That might take it to the next level. I have a feeling that was all for that series. It's probably cooked.

Ghost Adventures has returned with new episodes. Yeah! The first 2 so far have been great. They are still the best crew on TV at getting evidence. Last week, they went to Toulumne Hospital in Sonora CA. They have taken to using the X-Box Kinect to map ghosts. And it worked! That is the cutting edge that we all love from them. Using new tools to gather more evidence. Unlike Ghost Hunters using a Geiger counter. The boys are smart and the best in the business. Tonight they're going to Missouri State Prison, and prisons always seem to bring it. So I advise you to set your DVR to 9pm EDT Friday nights on Travel Channel. Hell, set it for 8pm, because they show last weeks episode then, in case you missed it. These are episode numbers 112 and 113 respectively. Be sure to watch if you like the real thing, done by pros.

Ghost Mine has started new episodes on Wednesdays on SY-FY. Episode 7 is first up. I DVR'd it, and haven't had a chance to watch. But I do know they are going back to the same mine, the Old Crescent. It's located about 200 miles from me, and someday I'm going in person. Maybe make a video post. So next week I'll let you know how it went. I'll probably wait until watching the next episode to give a review. So, I've finally got a full weekend of good ghost watching, just as the weather's starting to change. Fall's starting to look up. GO Ghost Adventures! And thanks! Also avoid gas inducing TV.

Come on Ghost Hunters!

Come on! People, wake up! Why does anyone call these folks? I just watched the episode that originally aired last week, where they were investigating a bungalow and home next door. At the end, the client WAS NOT happy. Once again, they didn't get shit. Embarrassing. She got 2 EVP's that knocked out anything the Hunters got. Then they had the nerve to tell her they couldn't be 100% sure about hers because they didn't know how she did it. Jason, SHE did it right! You come in and don't get anything, and the client literally kicks your ass, and you DOWNPLAY it. You are clowns. Yeah, she seemed pissed off at you idiots, and I don't blame her. Then you try to explain her anger off as disappointment that you didn't contact her old friends. No, it's because you spent 2 nights in her home and didn't get a smell. My dad had a saying. I'm adapting it: "If you were ghost hunting for shit you wouldn't get a smell." And then you NEVER, EVER stay until 3am, the Anti-Hour. How can you tell a client that there's nothing evil if you don't stay when they might come out to play. IDIOTS! IDIOTS! I've never known ghost hunters that have a bedtime, and they stick to it! I challenge you Jason to let me join you on a hunt. And you don't have to air anything. I just want to show you people how this shit works. First, you'd drop the flashlights. You need total darkness. I thought you might have known that. The episode before this one, I definitely heard a GROWL, and you tell the client there's nothing evil. DUMB SHITS! You're going to get someone hurt one day, and I wish they'd sue you. You give people a false sense that there's no evil, and they let their guard down. I would love to follow your investigations. I bet by spending dusk to dawn I could get more evidence by myself than you get in 2 nights with your massive crew and equipment. So Jason, humble yourself and let me come in with you, just once. You have been doing this for a long time, and you break almost every rule there is to break. Are you afraid? I think you are. I'm afraid your bungling is going to hurt someone. I think you do more damage than good. And dear readers of this blog, write SyFy and tell them that the Ghost Hunters are idiots. Stop watching, it just validates their ignorance. They get these great sites, and don't get hardly anything. I'm glad that client was pissed. I am too! The way you move your flashlights wildly, maybe you should become burglars. At least you's GET SOMETHING! Maybe...

The Dead Files Continues/ New Ghost Hunters

The Dead Files continues with new episodes and continues to impress. The episode that aired 06/07/13 about the creep in California that wants to turn his old historic building into a haunted Bed & Breakfast was wonderful. This guy only called the Dead Files crew in for one reason: publicity. And Amy & Steve were on to him. He didn't want help, he wanted to get his name out there to continue his use of the dead to make money. And Amy & Steve didn't fall for it. He is a creep, and one day he will die, and hopefully he'll end up in his former haunt being exploited by others. That would be just.  He didn't do one thing that Amy suggested. He never planned to. So the Dead Files didn't give his location, or his full name. All we knew was that it was in California, and as Steve said, "I'm sure if you look hard enough, you the viewers will be able to figure out where this place is." Here's what I think: Don't go there, don't ask to ghost hunt there, and when he finishes remodeling, do not help this guy in any way. He is tormenting the dead for personal gain, and I do believe one day he will pay dearly. When he told Amy about his plans for a Bed & Breakfast, it was classic. She said, "Will it be a nice hotel, or advertised as a haunted hotel?" At least this ass was truthful about his intentions. The Dead Files does not actively look for clients, they ask people to write in with their story. Here's what gets me: All these people are at wit's end by the time the crew shows up. But most fail to follow the advice Amy gives them to move these spirits on. I know sometimes it may seem crazy, and her advice may be difficult to follow through with, but I do believe Amy is the real deal. And she knows what needs to be done. So why do most not follow her advice? Are they seeking their 15 minutes of fame also?

Alright, this week I watched the 1st episode in the new season of Ghost Hunters. Don't bother. This has become on of the biggest cluster f**ks on TV. If you want to see everyone shining flashlights like burglars casing the joint then by all means, waste an hour of your life. They did get some audio evidence, but nothing visual. Guess why? Because with their flashlights moving constantly it won't make it to video. You can't trust that this crew has seen anything they claim to see because first of all, they NEVER get visual evidence, and secondly with the movement of their flashlights remaining constant, they may THINK they saw something, but it was probably one of their lights reflecting off something. Are they afraid of the dark? And you never ever see them go past midnight. Any ghost hunter worth their salt knows that the Anti-Hour, 3am is when things may start to ramp up. So Jason, until the day you start doing a dark to light investigation, I'm not watching anymore. And I don't mean light as in flashlight. And it means not getting to bed before midnight. You get to go to these wonderful locations, then do a half-assed investigation, leaving right when there might be some REAL activity. You told this latest client that you didn't think there was anything bad haunting the hall, but one of your audio recordings was definitely a GROWL. And since you never stay on site until 3am, you may be misleading your clients. Dumb and Dumber is back on TV. Ghost Hunters my ass. I think you really are just afraid of what you're hunting. SyFy, make them change their strategies, or cancel the show. I've seen enough of the absolute worst ghost hunting crew on TV. And you pay these people? If Roto-Rooter had a TV show, this would be it. Time to flush.

My Haunted House/ Dead Files Update

First, let me say if you haven't seen "Dead Files" on the Travel Channel, you're missing out. It is becoming one of the best paranormal shows on TV. If Amy is not the real thing, then she should be nominated for an Academy Award. Yes, an Oscar. Because you couldn't make this stuff up. If she's a fake, she writes and performs her own material. And even the greatest actors usually don't write their own material. So, I have to believe in her. The latest episode Friday was a great example. A couple is living in an old tobacco plantation in Virginia. It got so bad there they built a modular home next door, and guess what? The spirits followed them. The main entity haunting them is a black woman who was a slave. And she practiced "Hoodoo," which I had never heard of. As Amy said, Voodoo is a religion, and Hoodoo is a practice of gaining power. And this little black woman has power over all the dead roaming the plantation. She wants the plantation house demolished. Since the clients won't even consider that, Amy said they need to find a practitioner of Hoodoo. And this person has to want the power the black woman holds. It is quite the dilemma. In closing, watch this show!  It is the best show showing new episodes right now.

Deep-South Paranormal is turning out to be a dud. The first couple episodes were OK, but lately it's turning out that these folks are bungling through their investigations. Aside from some pithy southern speak, the rest is crap.

I have another gripe. Why do people say "Intelligent Spirits?" As opposed to Stupid Spirits? I suppose that since there are dumb people in this world, when they pass I suppose they would be dumb on the other side. But what makes a spirit intelligent? Because they can make knocks, slam doors, and communicate? I will say this...if you treat spirits with respect and not ask them stupid questions, I think your success as a ghost hunter will increase. Just my opinion.

Which brings me to the latest paranormal release on the Bio channel, "My Haunted House." It is hard to watch. It seems they are going back many years, when memories fade. And the re-enactments are really all they've got. I have a hard time watching drivel like this. If the producers think this is compelling TV, they are wrong. I will try watching again, but it is one long hour. The show I saw went back to 1973. It lasted about a half-hour, and it was hard to watch and remain engaged. So, I give this show 2 out of 5 stars. I think people want to see real investigations, not re-enactments. It airs Saturdays on Bio at 10pm Eastern. I think you'd be better off watching "Long Island Medium." The Ghost Speaks/ GA Crew the Best

Last Fridays "Ghost Adventures" once again showed why these boys are the best in the business. Investigating King's Tavern they proved why. They get more evidence in one investigation than any other professional crew there is. I mean, this was an incredible hour of ghost hunting. It was the best episode from them in a long, long time. This week is another rerun, but I forgive them because of this wonderful episode. If you missed it it's on again tonight, Friday the 26th at 8pm Eastern on the Travel Channel. Ghost busting good!

The latest show from Bio is one of the weakest  TV shows about ghosts I've ever seen. It is called, "The Ghost Speaks" and it is truly the biggest pieces of crap to hit the airwaves in quite some time. Here's the premise.. .people share a haunting experience and guess what? The ghost speaks. But not really. It's voiced over by an actor, and the ghost talks about what's bothering it, why it's there, and the real kicker...who it is. Come on...there is no way to know this, there is no way to prove this, and there certainly is no way to know for fact who the ghost is. This is a steaming pile of crap. It's mostly conjecture, and even though they did show some actual evidence, when the ghost speaks I had to laugh so hard, the iced tea I was drinking shot out of my nose. It's been a while since I've laughed this hard. So I guess there is one redeeming quality to these shows, it will make you laugh. I'm assuming this is a spin-off of "The Killer Speaks." At least with that show it's the real killer. I've watched 3 episodes of that show, and it's pretty good. But this is taking it one step too far. The ghost is speaking lines written by a writer. And not a very good writer. So, 1 out of 4 stars. If you're depressed watch it. It make make you shoot liquid out your nose. But if you're looking for a good ghost show, pass. It airs on Bio Saturday at 10pm Eastern.

Deep-South Paranormal Episode 2

There hasn't been a lot of new shows about the paranormal coming our way, so I've got a couple of things to say about what is on.

First, the "Haunted Collector" has been new episodes. I think the show is OK, mostly because he has such a good crew. Top-notch. But, the last episode I heard John Zaffis use the F-Word. Something touched his back and he freaked. It was funny, funny! As I've said before, why do all the "pros," (using the term lightly), have to cuss when they get scared? I do my share of cussing, so I'm not some prim little guy that gets his sensibility's hurt. I just get tired of "beep-beep-beep." It's distracting, and since these are supposed to be pros, who KNOW they are being filmed, stupid. There are a lot of reality shows on TV that would only be 15 minutes long is they took out all the bad language. But hearing John drop the bomb, I had to laugh...hard. He was funny. And here's my big gripe about his show...so far this year they are batting a thousand.  Every case they have done has a happy ending. 100% solving rate. These guys could save the world it seems. And rid the world of paranormal. Someone give them a call.

After watching the 2nd episode last night, I'm pretty happy. It's a funny show, and I've heard some new southern sayings that I'd never heard. The old guy that carries a staff, kind of the southern witch-doctor, is great. "My ghost radar's going off like a buck in rutting season." Funny! The best was "We're busier than a stump-tailed cow on fly day!" That was great! Probably only 4 more new episodes coming, so I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars. They beat the hell out of the great Ryan Buell, and the Supernatural Sisters. It airs at 10 Eastern on Wednesdays on Sy-Fy. It's about the only new show on right now. I don't know what May holds in store, but I'm hoping some of our favorites show new episodes. I'll let you know when I find out something. Happy Hunting!

Deep-South Paranormal

First, I want to give a little bit of my opinion. Why do all these people that investigate the paranormal have to constantly use the F-Word? By no means am I a prude, and have been known to use colorful language. But these are supposed to be professionals. I get sick of bleep, bleep, bleep, when something happens. They know that they can't use these scenes. Is it when someone gets scared they cuss? Every show does it. How about "Wow, did you hear that?" No it's F***, F***, F***.

Next I'd like to talk about recent episodes that have been non-reruns. "Haunted Collector" has been pretty good this year. I am just amazed that they NEVER fail. They identify the trigger object, and poof, haunting is over. So if I get this right, everyone else is doing the wrong thing. It seems it's possible to get rid of these ghosts. So why are places still haunted? So, I am saying right here, find the trigger object, remove it, say F***!, and no more ghosts! Yeah right.

"Stranded" has ended it's first season, and I will say the first episode and maybe the last were the best. I like the concept, but I still think the producers need to give these people a crash course in ghost hunting. At least SHOW them what the equipment's for, how to run it, and then tell them to USE it. But have no fear about one thing, they have the cussing down, no training needed there.

Taking the "Stranded" time slot is a new show called "Deep-South Paranormal." I have only seen the promos, but it might be good. Having all my relatives from the south, this might be funny as hell. I think it might be good. I'll bet they can use the F-Word with the best of them. I will write more after I see the 1st episode. I like the premise, so let's cross our fingers. It airs on Sy-Fy Wednesday's at 10 Eastern.

Finally "Ghost Adventures" had a re-run last week. Same with "The Dead Files." I truly think the Adventure crew is burned out, and I don't look for much new in the future. They have been through enough, and I won't fault them for turning in their EMF detectors. Hope I'm wrong. But if not, they had a great run. Maybe they'll prove me wrong. Wait, what was that noise? F**kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
